Bowls Operation Manager

Philip comes to his position as Bowls Operations Manager with a wealth of community, business and media experience and expertise.

Philip worked in the family seven office real estate business for some 27 years in residential sales, commercial and residential property leasing and management, residential and commercial / industrial sales, branch manager, Company Secretary and Director. Philip was also recognised as one of the best auctioneers on the Mornington Peninsula and still continues to do charity auctions for sporting clubs, community groups and schools to this day.

On the sale of the family business Philip worked at the American School of Kuwait in Kuwait City, Kuwait for 2 years as an instructional assistant, relief teacher, swimming and soccer coach, and male mentor to students. On his return to Australia Philip re–trained to obtain his Bachelor Degree for teaching (primary) with Honours at Monash University and received the Chancellor Award and entry to The Golden Key Society. Philip taught at the Mt Eliza North and Moorooduc Primary Schools.

Philip, other than his 2 years in Kuwait, has always worked and lived on the Mornington Peninsula. He went to The Peninsula School and was an active player and committee / board member of the The Peninsula Old Boys Football, Baden Powell Cricket and Mt Eliza Bowling clubs.

Philip has won club championships at the Mt Eliza and Karingal bowling clubs and represented the MPBR at the State Championships in pairs and in the regional team. He also compares and hosts the local Bowling Between the Bays Bowling Show and is a respected member of the bowling fraternity.

Philip’s strives to assist people, be community minded and involved and to make a difference in peoples lives. His passion is his two children Isabella and Ian and the game of lawn bowls.

Philip says he is thankful to be able to put his communication, people and management skills to good use in his role as the Bowls Operations Manager at the Karingal Bowling Club.
